American Thunder is the name of the Joshua’s 2007 Pinewood Derby Car. He designed and painted it himself. Adding paper headlights, windshield, and racing flames. Unfortunately, he didn’t sand and align the wheels or graphite the axle and neither did I. So our entry didn’t even make it to the finish line in any of its 3 heats. But together we had a lots of fun. And next year we’ll do better. We can't do any worse!!! [He DID get a ribbon for Creativity!!!]
Hi Pastor Mike- Michael has joined Cub Scouts this year & will need to build a pinewood derby car in Jan. Any tip/hints from your experience that you can share? We need all the help we can get. (especially since i'm a "girl")...Thanks BTW - we STILL miss you guys
Happily married to my high school sweetheart Jackie for 28 years, we have two children Joshua and Lydia. Years ago someone asked them what their daddy did for a job and they said, "He talks about Jesus on stage and shows people that God loves them like crazy!!!" I still do.
